COVID-19 Policies

For the safety of all staff and guests at The Lindsey Guest House, our management is operating under the most up-to-date COVID safety protocols and guidelines.

If you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 such as a cough, fever, or extreme fatigue, within 14 days of your visit, please contact The Lindsey Guest House to cancel or reschedule your stay.

Our check-in times have been updated to 4pm in order to allow enough time to properly complete our enhanced sanitation procedures in the guest rooms. Please visit our COVID-19 page for complete information.


Cancellation Policy

The Lindsey Guest House is a small business that is greatly impacted by last minute cancellations. All reservations cancelled greater than fourteen days prior to arrival will be subject to a minimum $25 administrative fee per room booked. Cancellations occurring fourteen days or less from your date of arrival is non-refundable.

We understand that reasons beyond your control may result in your need to cancel your reservation.  That’s why we encourage you to consider purchasing travel protection at check out through our booking company, ResNexus. Their terms and conditions can be found at



For stays of any length, payment is due in full at the time of booking. Payments are accepted from most widely accepted credit payment processors. We will send confirmation of your reservation upon receipt of your deposit.



Rates as shown or quoted over the phone are based on per night double occupancy and are subject to the 9% Maine Lodging Tax. Availability and rates for specific dates can be viewed by clicking on the “Book Now” link.



Due to the architecture of our property, we are unable to offer specifically ADA accessible rooms. Guest Room Nine, located on our first floor, can be accessed via ramp and can accommodate many needs. Please note, the second and third floor rooms are accessed via staircase as we do not have an elevator. Additional Guests

All of The Lindsey Guest House’s guest rooms, with the exception of Guest Room Nine, are able to accommodate a maximum of two (2) guests per room. Up to three (3) guests can be accommodated in Guest Room Nine for a rate of an additional $50 per night. Children and infants do qualify as guests.


Pets & Service Animals

While we welcome Service Animals, unfortunately, pets, including emotional support animals, are not permitted at our hotel. We are happy to recommend nearby kennels to host your pet during your stay.


Check-in / Check-out Times

Check-in is between 4:00 and 7:00pm, but early and late check-ins can usually be accommodated with advanced notice. If you are going to be delayed past 7:00pm please call the hotel directly and let us know. Checkout time is 11:00am.



The Lindsey Guest House is a 100% smoke, vape, and flame-free property. A $500 cleaning surcharge will be imposed on any room where guests have burned candles, smoked (including e-cigarettes), or vaped in their room or anywhere on property.



Due to limited parking in our downtown location, we can only offer one parking spot per room. Please plan accordingly.
